Teaching Faculty & Credentials

Education:
We employ professional staff in the classrooms, with varying academic backgrounds. Every nursery and classroom has at least one degreed lead teacher. Infant / Toddler staff acquire child age-specific experience and/or training.

Teacher
— BA or BS degree in Education, Early Childhood Education or a related field.

Associate Teacher
— AAS or Child Development Associate (CDA) in Early Childhood Education. Group Guide- BA or BS degree in an unrelated field, and Early Childhood training, experience or training in Early Childhood Education.

Assistant Teacher
— High School Graduate with continuing education in Early Childhood Education.

Classroom Aide
— Generally, a high school upperclassman, working part-time, under direct supervision of a ranking staff member.

Over 60% of the Rainbow Chimes staff holds a college degree, making us #1 for having a credentialed staff in Western Suffolk County.
