Corporations with a large number of employees usually realize very
significant financial benefits through the sponsorship of an on-
or near-site early childhood education and care center. These programs
are supported by an employer and/or union at the worksite or at
another location. Some slots may be made available to the general
community, depending on the demand by the sponsor’s own employees,
to ensure cost-effective utilization of the child care center.
In addition to decreased employee work absence, and increased recruitment
and retention benefits noted above, on- or near-site early childhood
education and care centers also cut employee tardiness while improving
work quality by lessening child-related distractions. On- or near-site
centers also improve morale by demonstrating that the employer cares
about them as employees. Excellent public relations due to high
visibility can also be expected.
Employers subsidize the start-up and operation of the center so
that employees can afford the program; parent fees cover the balance
of the center's operating expenses. Corporate-sponsors have the
greatest control over quality and administration in such an on-
or near-site agreement.
Rainbow Chimes has successfully managed the start-up and cost-effective
operation of several high quality on- or near-site early childhood
programs. RCI’s administrative team will consult with corporate
leaders who wish to explore this option, and will provide a comprehensive
proposal for review. We have licensed and opened award-winning programs
in as little as four months, when the chosen space meets Office
of Children and Family Services licensing guidelines.
