We strongly emphasize leadership building skills in children, and one way to encourage this is by promoting peace-making and virtues in the curriculum. There are concrete actions we can take in our own everyday lives to make peace more of a daily reality. Through simple values and virtues, we encourage children to cherish and protect the earth and each other in a way that enhances the quality of life for all people. Teaching politeness, kindness, cooperation and respect are all goals of our program. There is a monthly focus on a particular virtue that the children accomplish through art, cooking, literacy and caring for pets and each other. This will lay the groundwork for children to become peace advocates and socially responsible future leaders of our country.
